TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Accenture presents "B-School Challenge", Rules of Participation ("Rules") "Accenture B-School Challenge" (the "Contest") shall be organized, conducted and sponsored by Accenture India Private Limited ("Organizer / Accenture") and shall be open for submitting the entries from Aug 16 to Sep 2 (both days inclusive) ("Entry Period"). Receipt of Entries and Eligibility Entry will be invited through an online entry form as available on click here and during the Entry Period the participants need to play the rapid-fire quiz once on the mobile or online to qualify.
The Contest is open to all full-time post-graduate students and who are 18 (eighteen) years of age or older.The participants need to participate in teams of 3 (three) from the same college provided that each member of the team meets these eligibility criteria.The competitions is open to the following campuses: IIMA, IIMB, IIMC, IIMK, IIML, ISB (Mohali, Hyderabad), XLRI, JBIMS, SPJAIN, FMS.
Entries will be accepted in English language only and the submissions should be made in the template provided on the click here.Any incomplete/inaccurate entries or entry after the Entry Period shall be invalid and any entry after the close of Entry Period may be permitted only at the sole discretion of Organizer.The right to permit or restrict participation is at the sole discretion of the Organizer.
Incorrect Information : Organizer has the right to substantiate/ /verify the participants' details/information as provided in the entry form or Organizer may seek any further document, as may be required to verify the participants' details/ information. The participant must provide all supporting details requested by the Organizer to substantiate/ /verify the information provided in the entry form. If such a request is made and the participant either fails or does not agree to provide the same, then the Organizer reserves the right to disqualify such participant from participating in the Contest.
Determination of whether information is correct or not, rests solely with the Organizer.If at any time, any information provided by any participant is found to be incorrect in any manner, then the participant will be disqualified from participating in the Contest. If, after the conclusion of the Contest ceremony, any information provided by any participant is found to be incorrect in any manner, the participant will be liable to return the prize (if any) or any other monetary / non-monetary incentives provided as part of the Contest.
Short-listing: Upon receiving the entries, the Organizer will evaluate the entries basis, the number of correct responses, time taken to respond, response to the subjective question. Negative marking will be done for incorrect responses submitted during the quiz
Round 1: Qualifying teams will be eligible to participate in the first business challenge.
The decision of the above short listing is binding and final on all participants.
Round 2: Business Challenge 1 is the second qualifying round where teams need to play an online simulation.
Round 3: Top ten performing teams from each campus will be shortlisted who will make a presentation on the key learnings to an Accenture jury to qualify for the grand finale.
Each winning team from each college will need to travel for the finale in New Delhi to participate in the grand finale Winner and Determination of Winners.
There will be 3 (three Winners) viz. grand prize Winner, first runner up and second runner up. The Organizer will identify a Grand Prize Winner jury's decision will be final and binding on all participants.The jury will score and/or rank each team based on pre-defined evaluation criteria and the jury’s final scores will be collated and tabulated to determine the Winners based on the parameters determined by the Organizer.
Prize: Each winning team stands a chance to win a gizmo goodie bag ("Prize") The Winner/s will be declared at the Award Ceremony which will be held on October 4th/5th 2019. The exact date and the venue shall be intimated to the participants via email at the email id that was submitted at the time of participation Organizer will sponsor the Grand Prize
The Prize shall not be transferable/ redeemable for cash. No request shall be entertained by Organizer in this behalf.Any statutory taxes, duties or levies as may be applicable from time to time, arising out/ in respect of such Prize, shall be payable by the Winner of the respective Prize.Organizer shall not be liable for any loss, damage, theft, or any other mishap caused to the Prize after handing over the same to the Winners of the Contest.
The Winner/s or his/her legal heirs shall have no other rights or claims whatsoever against Organizer.General: Entries protected under intellectual property rights or which are progressing towards such protection, are acceptable as submissions to the Contest. However, the Organizer shall not be liable for the protection of any proprietary or confidential information contained in any entry form.The idea as submitted by the participant shall remain the property of the participant.
The participant agrees that the theme of the contest is general in nature and the Organizer have the right to develop, use, market, license and/or sell products or services, developed without reference to or use of entries, that are similar or related to the theme. Participants acknowledge that the Organizer may already possess or have developed products or services similar to or competitive with those ideas submitted through the entries.
The participant warrants and represents that it owns all rights, or has all necessary licenses, to use any and all idea/s (and all constituent parts) they will be submitting under this Contest for judging, including without limitation all content, images, text, or other copyright material, trademarks, service marks, logos or any other intellectual property contained within its Idea, and can, upon request, provide written confirmation of such ownership or license to the Organizers. The participant further warrants and represents that all the idea/s are original and have been legally obtained and created, and do not infringe the intellectual propertyrights or any other legal or moral rights of any third party.
The participant grants to Organizers and its affiliates, the right and permission to reproduce, encode, store, copy, transmit, publish, broadcast, display, publicly perform, exhibit and/or otherwise use or reuse (without limitation as to when or to the number of times used), the participant's name, address, image, voice, likeness, statements, biographical material and idea/s (in each case, as submitted or as edited by Organizer, in Organizer's sole discretion), as well as any additional photographic images, video images, portraits, interviews or other materials relating to the participant and arising out of his/her participation in this Contest (with or without using the participant's name) (collectively, the "additional materials") in any media throughout the world for advertising and publicity purposes without additional review, compensation, or approval.
The participant waives any rights of publicity, rights of privacy, intellectual property rights, and any other legal or moral rights that might preclude the Organizers' use of the Idea/s or the additional materials or require the participant's permission for Organizers' to use them for promotional purposes, and hereby waives any claim against the Organizers' relating to the Organizers' promotional use of those materials.
The participant agrees to indemnify and hold the Organizer and their respective affiliates, directors, employees, agents and partners ("Organizer's Associates") harmless from any and all direct and indirect claims, damages, expenses, costs (including reasonable attorneys' fees) and liabilities (including settlements), brought or asserted by any third party against any of the Organizers' Associates due to or arising out of the use of the idea/s or additional materials and/or in connection with participation in or winning the Contest.
Organizer will not be liable for any inaccuracy, error or omission contained in any such copy, reproduction or publication of the entry form, the idea/s or other materials submitted.The Rules are to be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India. All disputes relating to or arising out of the Contest shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of competent jurisdiction at Mumbai, India.
If any manipulation (for example, any internet spamming or unsolicited emails, or any other conduct which Organizer believes is unfair or contrary to the spirit of the Contest) occurs or if the Organizer considers there has been any attempt to rig the selection procedure, Organizer reserves the right to disqualify entries if it has reasonable grounds to believe so and reserves the right to change, cancel or suspend this Contest at any time.
The Organizer shall not be held responsible for any loss or damage that any person or organization may suffer as a result of participating or attempting to participate in the Contest, the Contest being withdrawn or its terms amended.
The Organizer cannot and shall not be accountable / liable for any disruptions / stoppages /interruptions or cancellation of the Contest. The Organizer and its contractors, assisting in organizing the contest, cannot be held responsible for matters out of its control and for force majeure reasons.Decision of Organizer on all matters is final and binding on all participants and no correspondence will be entertained regarding the same.
Accenture will use your information to communicate with you and provide you the feature for which you registered. In order to improve our services and provide better content, Accenture may keep track of patterns of use in the e-mails and e-mail newsletters we send. We note which links are clicked in our e-mail communications as specific user profile information to tell us what areas are of most interest to our recipients. In most cases, this information is analyzed in aggregate form, but sometimes personally identifiable information will be shared within Accenture with specific program owners for the limited purposes described above.
Accenture will not use the information for any other purpose. You hereby agree and acknowledge transferring to Accenture full and complete ownership and any other rights toward the contest. You also agree that the personal information collected during the contest entry can be used by Accenture for the purpose of the contest and will be binding with respect to the terms and conditions mentioned above. You further agree that Accenture shall have all the rights including but not limited to use, publish, feature, modify and transfer internally or externally any of the submitted responses or details of the contest in any of Accenture publications, websites and/or in any promotional material without your permission.
